Will Cristiano Ronaldo Get an End of an Era Card in EA FC 27? Our Prediction

Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that he will retire from Portugal’s national team after the November international break, bringing his 23-year international career to a close.

The announcement has sparked a new question for EA SPORTS FC 27 players: will EA honour Portugal’s legendary No. 7 with a special Ultimate Team card?

EA has not announced a Ronaldo retirement item. But if the game receives a tribute, one card type stands out as the strongest possibility.

Our Prediction: An End of an Era SBC

Our prediction is that EA could release a Cristiano Ronaldo End of an Era item through a limited-time Squad Building Challenge.

End of an Era cards have previously been used to celebrate players who retire or leave a club after building a significant legacy. Ronaldo’s Portugal career gives EA a major milestone to recognise: he became the men’s international record goalscorer and made 234 appearances for his country.

A Portugal-themed design would also make sense for a tribute to his national-team career. That is our speculation, however—not a confirmed design or card announcement.

What Rating Could Ronaldo’s Special Card Have?

Ronaldo’s current FC 27 base card is rated 84. If EA releases a major tribute item, we predict a substantial upgrade, potentially in the mid-90s.

That range is only an estimate. EA has not confirmed a rating, attributes, position, PlayStyles or release date for a retirement card.

A special item could also focus on Ronaldo’s Portugal legacy rather than simply upgrading his current Al Nassr card. The final design and stats would depend entirely on EA’s decision.

Could It Be a Different Type of Card?

An End of an Era SBC feels like the clearest fit for a retirement tribute, but it is not the only possibility.

EA could choose a different special item, celebrate a memorable Portugal moment, or decide not to release a dedicated card at all. Until EA makes an announcement, claims about a confirmed card or its exact stats should be treated with caution.

When Could a Ronaldo Tribute Card Arrive?

There is no confirmed release date.

Ronaldo’s announcement is fresh, so an immediate tribute would be possible—but it is not guaranteed. EA may choose to acknowledge the retirement later, or not through Ultimate Team.

We’ll update this article if EA confirms a special Ronaldo item, including its card type, rating, release timing and how players can obtain it.
